When assigned a project to create a magazine, my passion for sports made the answer obvious. Using Humber College’s sports journalists and photographers, I created a brief magazine that highlighted their men’s basketball team while using their signature colours and bold graphics and callouts. I wanted to take an alternative approach to sports magazines, so I decided to add my interest in space to allude to how athletes are “out of this world”. Due to the bold type and graphics, I made sure to adhere to a clean and simple two-column grid as to control the chaos.
